For 43 years, the Science Museum of Minnesota has supported Science Live Theatre, an in-house professional museum theatre company.

Stephanie shares how theatrical techniques enhance the visitor experience, enrich exhibit stories and connect content to the emotional lived experience. You’ll also learn about museum theatre trends, approaches, successes and failures.

Over the past thirteen years, Stephanie Long has produced 70 live programs and 14 films for Science Museum of Minnesota (SMM) and other institutions.
She has led playwriting and science communication workshops for scientists, presented on museum theatre nationally and internationally and worked as a program developer for the Nanoscale Informal Science Education network. 

Stephanie is President of the International Museum Theatre Alliance-Americas. Outside of the museum field she is the President of the Board of Directors for Theatre in The Round Players and has been a mentor with Big Brothers and Big Sisters for ten years.
