Our Career Accelerator program has been developed with a long-term goal of increasing cultural, racial and ethnic diversity in the arts and culture workforce.

The 2024 Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand program runs 16 September–29 November. Applications will be accepted 15 July–26 August.

Participation in Tessitura's Career Accelerator is free of charge for applicants accepted into the program. The information on this page is for our Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand program.

Over this eleven-week program, participants will:

Program details

The 2024 program runs 16 September–29 November and is free of charge.

    Up to three hours of self-paced online learning per week in fundraising, memberships or ticketing (approx. $445 AUD value)

    Three 90-minute group conversations with students, mentors, program staff and invited guests

    Five 60-minute small group mentoring sessions

    Private online forum for students and mentors

    One year of access to the Tessitura Training Center graduate library of video training resources

    Full scholarship to the Tessitura Learning & Community Conference in Sydney, 21-22 November 2024 (conference fees only, travel and hotel not included; approx. $515 AUD value)

Eligibility & application details

Applicants must:

  • Be located in Australia or Aotearoa New Zealand
  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Identify as a member of a racial or ethnic group that has been historically underrepresented in the arts and culture sector
  • Intend to participate in all 11 weeks of the program, to the best of your ability

Timeline for the 2024 program:

  • Applications open on Monday 15 July and are due by Monday 26 August.
  • Applicants will be informed of the status of their application no later than Monday 2 September.
  • Accepted applicants will be asked to confirm participation by Friday 6 September.

Terms and conditions:

  • Participation in the Career Accelerator program is free of charge.
  • A selection committee of Tessitura staff and community members will select up to 18 participants from among the submitted applications.
